Traditional aged care homes can be a nightmare for some LGBTQIA+, often finding themselves surrounded by the very attitudes they spent a lifetime trying to escape. Many go back into the closet. Trans activist Julie Peters is on a mission to find out what options exist for LGBTQIA+ people in their twilight years. She visits ‘Regnbågen/Rainbow’ is the first residency for senior LGBT people in Stockholm, in Sweden, and in Europe.
